Natural Remedy to Increase Breast Milk Production

What should you do to promote breast milk production? Many women experience the dilemma of low breast milk supply. It is not uncommon. This may be due to a variety of factors. To promote breast milk production:

1. Ensure adequate sleep, relaxation and rest

2. Drink plenty water and/or fluids in general

3. Feed the baby to provide breast stimulation and hence production

4. Add breasting pumping to your routine which also helps in stimulation

Naturally occurring galactogogues can also be added to the mother's diet. These naturally occurring galactogogues may be found in foods such as apricots, carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes, pecans, oatmeal, green leafy vegetables, etc. These are healthy foods that can improve nutrition for anyone but especially for breast feeding mothers to increase milk production.
